- If you are truly certified as a tribe member call them about their medical/dental plans. Direct members of a tribe (but not their spouses) are eligible for insurance to use anywhere.
- Call the local board of health OR contact your state's board of dentistry and ask them if they know of places that have low cost or free dental care for a native american. You can probably get free assistance for being a native american (an "indian"). Also you could probably go to local community college FOR FREE if you are a native american. And you can get yourself a better job with education. Apply to local colleges or community colleges.
- Assuming you are enrolled in a US Federally Recognized Tribe, you can seek dental care at an Indian Health Services clinic that offers such service. If you go to a non-IHS facility you will have to pay for all of the expenses related to your care.
- get your roll card out, and your enrollment papers. Go over to your local IHS office. They'll take it from there. Doesn't matter how much you make if you're enrolled. It's contract care. Way too detailed to even attempt here. Doesn't matter where you live either.
- I would strongly encourage you to visit this great site: www.healthsavings.ourperfectcard.com I signed up online over 5 years ago now and they have saved me thousands on all services since I was in college. Social security or Nationality is not a factor in this very affordable coverage. From cleanings, crowns, xrays, exams, fillings..etc.They even had my very affordable plan active in 2 hours and was able to use the plan the very same day.hope this helps
