Indemnity Dental Insurance

Guardian Dental Insurance Knowledge Base

Does guardian insurance or delta dental have better ortho insurance? I'm looking into getting invisalign, and my insurance switches from guardian to delta dental, so I need to know if i should wait, or hurry and get them with guardian. Which covers more? And if you know, what is the average cost out of pocket after insurance for either?
If you have Guardian Dental Insurance. Please answer my Question!? I have to choose between Guardian Dental PPO or Guardian Dental MDG which is like the HMO. Any advice or reccomendations? The difference is that PPO has almost everything covered up to $1000 and has a larger list of dentists. HMO has very very discounted prices and no limit, less dentists.
does anybody have guardian life dental insurance? Do they pay for teeth cleanings? Or do you know what does 100%,no deductible mean?
Will my orthodontic Lifetime Maximum start over with a new dental insurance provider? My daughter had a retainer and our insurance carrier, Cigna covered $1500 of it. Now she needs braces and my husband's company is changing dental providers to Guardian. Will that Lifetime Maximum start over with the new dental provider?
My cobra for dental insurance is about to run out and I need dental insurance? I've been paying $55 a month for 18 months to continue with my guardian dental insurance, however it is going to be running out. My husband's job does not provide dental and I stay at home now. We need a family plan. I've been told it is better to just keep putting the $55 a month away and pay out of pocket, but I worry when we have bigger bills just as fillings, root canals, braces, etc....We don't live near a dental school either to get the work done there.
dental insurance? I have a new job and am signing up for my benefits and they offer dental insurance through guardian BUT my dentist is not on that insurance on either plan, she doesnt take it at all. i love my dentist and she made me a nightguard since i grind my teeth at night and i'd hate to sign up for this dental insurance and have to go to one of those castle dentals or whatever just for a free cleaning when i could stay with my dentist and just pay out of pocket. i am 29 and have very healthy teeth, i dont have any cavities and i have straight teeth so no work is needed. should i opt out of dental insurance all together or should i get the dental plan and see castle dental and ditch my current dentist? i dont think it would be right to see my current dentist just for the night guard and go to another one for cleaning, etc. that wouldnt be fair. what do you think? i dont know what to do! if i opt out of it the company will pay me 150 bucks instead
What Dental Insurance Is Better? My husband and I need to decide between Guardian and Delta Dental for a personal, family plan. All the insurance jargon is confusing. Anyone know which was is better? My husband is self employed... If there are other good plans besides delta or guardian, please share them with me! Also - my husband needs to have a lot of work done... implants, fillings, gum surgeries, etc.
Will Kaiser cover my medicine from my dentist? I just got onto a Kaiser Permanente insurance plan and I am needing to get an antibiotic and a pain reliever from my dentist for a severe abscess. I have Guardian dental insurance. Will Kaiser cover my prescriptions and if not, how can I get them cheaper?
does anyone have an opinion about Essential Dental Insurance / AlwaysCare? Received a letter in the mail about this insurance, which on the surface seems legit. You have to apply at their website (or by phone). I’ve never had to apply for insurance before, that’s what has me wondering. They are a basic plan, thou cost is good, as is the deductible. Waiting periods between major services are lengthy (7 years between single crown/restoration after an initial 12-month waiting period). The company is underwritten by National Guardian Life Insurance Co. of Madison, WI. Has anyone had any experience with this company? Are they above board?
Need 4 Wisdom Teeth Removed ASAP - No Health Ins.....? I am a 20 y/o male. I went to the dentist in September of 2008 and they did some x-rays and said I need to see an oral surgeon soon to get my 4 wisdom teeth removed, they are causing a cyst. I had insurance then, the dumb oral surgeons office ran Guardian (dental insurance) to see what my out of pocket quote was going to be of the $2,700 and said they are only going to pay $112. Didn't sound right, they should have ran it through Anthem and they would have covered it under surgery but when I found that out it was too late when I lost my health insurance. If I was to buy health insurance on my own right now, the waiting period is 18-24 months from the date the coverage begins. These things are really starting to hurt and are cramming my other teeth causing them to go back crooked. I applied for Care Credit (medical credit card) and they denied my application. ARE THERE ANY OTHER OPTIONS???? It will take me at least 6 months to save $2,700 for this and that's if I am lucky and no unexpected bills arrive....
is AETNA a good health insurance to get? my benefits package came from work, it offers medical from Aetna is that a good health insurance provider? What about Guardian Plan ppo for Dental??
Wisdom tooth extraction in FL?!!? how much would a wisdom tooth extraction cost on one tooth in FLORIDA....i have guardian dental guard insurance....but i still wanna know how much does it cost WITHOUT insuraance...please and thank you!!! i really need this
do guardian ad litems usually recommend 50/50 custody? do guardian ad litems usually recommend 50/50 custody? in a case where both parents love their kids but one parents home may be slightly bigger and more room and less cluttered and has safety gates cabinet latches and all that stuff. that parent and spouse have 2 cars pay their bills on time , no government assistance and in general are financially stable and have a pretty good family support network that the kids see grandparents and such with then the other parent currently has custody but they have a small single wide mobile home for 2 adults and 4 kids, a cluttered house (not dirty with food everywhere just lots of junk) continues to get cars repossessed, has had elec turned off, eviction notice for not paying rent, gets food donations from church since cant afford food at times has phone and cable turned off cause cant pay bill. also don't take kids to dr cause they cant pay the co-pmt for the visit or for medications nor if they don't have a car at the time cant get there. also have lied to other parent saying they took child to dr when child was ill but medical records prove that they never did take the child to the dr like they said. and 2 year old had cavities and knew knew but didn't get them fixed while on medicaid ( free to fix) and when the child was almost 5 child complains about teeth parent still wont take them since now child is on other parents insurance so would have co pmts they cant afford. and when gets notice saying they are being taken to court for child custody they finally take child to dentist and dentist says child now has 3 cavities and no signs of previous dental work so that is proof they never took care of previous cavities when child was 2. and parent recently had a transplant is on disability. in neither house is there any drugs, smoking or alcohol, don't think kids are being beaten but get a little more physical discipline than they should but one child has said they get hit in mouth if they say something bad with the parent that cant pay the bills. would you think a guardian ad litem would recommend 50/50 custody? I know they are there for what is best for the kids and it is usually best to spend equal time with both parents so would they recommend this in this situation first off im not the one doing the robbing im the one being robbed. and im the one that has recomended mediation to come to a mutual agreement but other parent just says they should be with them and me only every other weekend. i want my kids to have both parents and step parents that care about them not just care about hurting parents feeligns that is actually what i am requesting is them get everyother weekend, shared holidays and i even added easter adn 4th july so its fare since one parent usually has that holiday fall during their time and the other never gets kids for that holiday. and they get atleast a month in the summer and every friday evening well I live in a mobile home just a larger one so im not dissing him for that. the transplant is not why he cant afford anything sicne well before the transplant he kept quiting jobs and refused to work cause he didnt make enough money. and i think i am being quite nice seeing as i was 15 and he 24 when i got pregnant and he was a adult that should have know better than to take sexual advantage of a troubled teen. the kids are happy kids and knwo both parents and step parents love them but they dont like it that their dad just lays in bed playing video games all the time and will not play with them or take them to the park when he is a stay at home dad. RESPONSIBLE PARENT WOULD SEEK MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE WHEN NEEDED EVEN IF THEY HAD TO EAT OUT LESS TO PAY FOR IT. SORRY BUT MEDICAL NEGLECT IS NOT BEING A LOVING PARENT WHEN YOUR CHILD IS CRYING FOR A WEEK STRAIGHT WITH A PAINFUL EAR INFECTION AND YOU DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. !!! SORRY BUT HIS $150 A MONTH IN DISABILITY FOR THE KIDS ENDS THIS MONTH THAT IS PART OF THE REASON IM TRYING OT GET THE KIDS SINCE HE HAS NO MORE DISABILITY AND WILL NOT EVEN START TO LOOK FOR A JOB. HOW WILL HE PROVIDE FOOD FOR THE KIDS SITTING ON HIS BUTT PLAYING VIDEO GAMES.

sole legal and physical custody of grandson? I have been raising my grandson since birth after my daughter abandoned him at birth and his biological father is unknown, now after 5 Years she is petitioning the courts for her child back she has not been all that involved with him only for the past year still goes 3 to 4 days without calling and up to 2 weeks, however we have now moved out of Juvenile and Domestic court in the commonwealth of virginia and she has appealed several times and now we are in higher courts, ( Roanoke County Civil Court) I have an attorney and my grandson who has always known me as mommy has his Guardian Ad lit em but he is starting to ask alot of questions because my daughter is telling him I am not his mommy, I recently left my job of 23 years in the hospital and relocated out of state to Maryland due to stress overload and remarried. My daughter is telling him that my husband and I do not love him and we really don't want him in our house and that I stole him he is very confused and my attorney fees are escalating thru the roof top after paying 2150.00 and he is charging 150.00 an hour and we are back in court on May 26,2010..This is not that she wants the child back as sad as what it is it is a money scheme and tax deduction and only paying 139.00 a month in child support in which I carry his life, medical dental vision as well as provide for us he is so confused and in counseling the courts are already granting extended visitation he is in a elementary school and in pre-k and has already missed 43 days this year due to this garbage..Is there anyway I can counter sue for time lost from work mental and emotional abuse along with the expenses she has costed me and in turn has taken away from this child? Also what is my chances of not losing this lil man after I have had him all his life everyone says it would be extremely detrimental on both of us to split us up now not to mention she has a passed criminal record for embezzlement and cannot hold a job and is only a cafeteria worker for a few hours a day and would never be able to carry his insurance. But she knows how to work the system, his daycare and school says they can definately tell where he has been and who has had him when he returns from visitation he is uncontrollable and acts out, hitting kids and not following directions. Please help This is a lil one that is truly my world and has gotten thru a tragic divorce after 23 years of marraige and when everyone walked out I was left just holding an infant who we have gotten extremely attached over the 5 years of his life. He has extreme insecurity and trust issues she is telling him all types of lies where her four wheel drive buddies is his aunt and uncle and they are no kin at all. I am suppose to have unlimited contact with him in which when I tell her to have him call she never does or he is resting or sleeping...None of her court orders are followed but they just keep on giving in.... Recently after going thru circuit court the judge is still leaning on reuniting them even though he gets on the phone and tells me he wants to come home and now he has a red mark across his face and neck and on his back, she leaves him in the car while going into a store to purchase cigarettes with the keys in the car, constantly playing with his emotions when he told my youngest daughter the other night to please take him with her or he wanted to go back home and then my oldest daughter the babys mother husband said well if he wants to go home then pack his clothes and send him home and then she told him well lets go get your things ready and he jumped up with joy and said yes and then she came back up the hall and said no your not going home...I cannot get thru to this judge we go back in august and the past two times doesn't look good I have insurance and mine and my husband salary are pretty good and she cannot hold a job very long due to past criminal record for embezzlement and a high school drop out I do not know what is wrong with the judicial system tooo many children are being reunited with biological parents and then being abused mistreated and turns into an emotional disaster for all parties and we have innocent children that are losing there lives but somehow they call this bonding and reuniting
What is considered child abandonment in the State of Alabama? Please serious comments only! My husband and I are very distraught over this situation. Last summer we kept this 6 year old, which has since turned 7. I need to add some background on this child. She repeated Kindergarten twice and is now in first grade. She has not gone to school on a consistent basis since she has been in school. She has changed schools more than 4 times in 3 years. (She is now in 1st grade). Her mom allowed her to go stay with her uncle but the child hated it there so midway through the year she wanted her to come stay with us. We accepted her and when we got her, she was reading 8 words a minute in 1st grade 5 months ago and is now reading 24 words a minute. She had a D in math and now has an A and she absolutely loves it here. We have 2 other kids, a 6 year old and a 12 year old. The problem is that we can't get her mom to fill out any paperwork to allow us to be guardians over her education/medical and the school can never reach her when she is needed. The school calls us yesterday stating if we can't get her to sign something giving us an education guardianship they are going to have to call DHR. We are distraught because we don't want her taken away from us. She is doing so well here. Her mom never calls her and the child doesn't care to go visit her. The child had no insurance and had never gone to the doctor or dentist until we got her. Since that time, she has had a dental check up and a well check up and has insurance now. Does anyone know what the laws are in Alabama and if we even stand a chance if the school calls Child Protective Services? They have given us until 2 p.m. today to get her mom to the school and we are begging her for the child's sake to please go do this but we are still waiting anxiously hoping she will show up. Oh, I forgot to mention the mom is a Lesbian (not that that will make a difference) and she is on drugs (that will surely make a difference) and she has lost custody of her other two kids, which the father has and she doesn't see (that should make a difference). Any advice will surely be appreciated. Thanks
temporary guardianship minor responsible for medical care? If you have any info about this situation please give your input. My parents had mentored an inner city child from Milwaukee, WI since he was 5 years old. He came from a drug mother and his father has never done anything for him. His birth mother has 6 other children who all belong to the state/are on welfare. He is now 15 and my family had been transfered from Wisconsin to Georgia due to a job transfer almost 2 years ago. His mom was able to sign Temporary Guardianship over to my mom (who has no relation to his family..we are white if that matters?) Since he isn't in Wisconsin anymore he cant get state medical care and since we do not have full custody of him he cant be under our family insurance. My mother took him to the dentist and his mouth was basically rotten and has been paying out of pocket for the dental expenses as well as doctor appointments for school physicals, etc. My parents are hard working middle class people and have to make payments on credit cards to cover his medical care. I have looked all over to see if we could get him coverered by the state because they are saving the state so much money due to the fact the state doesn't have to pay for his food, school, etc. He most likely would be in prison right now if my parents wouldn't have taken him out of his family situation. (One of his brothers is in prison for murder, one of his other brothers was charged for sexually assaulting his sister) (he was the typical welfare child..parents paid nothing his entire life..very sad) If anyone has information on coverage/liability of temporary guardians that would be very helpful!! All they want is coverage. Are they legally responsible if he is hurt and lets say ends up in the hospital?

Does anyone know which is better, Guardian health insurance or PEHP insurance? The company my husband works with changed from PEHP health insurance to Guardian health insurance. Frankly I'm little mad about it because I feel like PEHP is better, I loved the discount dental program they have. So which health insurance is better??
